SBI Clerk 2016 Recruitment Eligibility
The minimum qualification is degree or graduation from any Institute or board recognized by Gov. of India. Candidates must be aged between 21 to 30 years to be considered eligible. Age limit will not be relaxed for general applicants. But age limit will be relaxed for reserved candidates. However, to avail quota related facilities, applicants will have to disclose valid caste or other relevant certificates to the authority. Salary for selected candidates will be as per SBI rules.
How Many will Qualify for SBI Clerk Mains?
As the prelims are over, the next question in the minds of 20+ lakh candidates who appeared for it would be – How many will get selected for the main examination?
According to SBI clerk notification, a total of 14132 junior associate (regular + backlog) & 3008 junior agricultural associate vacancies were announced.
The bank has planned to shortlist in the ratio of 1:20.Going by it, the approximate number shall be:
- 3,00,000 lakh candidates for junior associates &
- 60,000 for junior agri associates
Therefore, a total of 3.5 – 4 lakh candidates could qualify to appear for SBI clerk mains.
SBI Clerk Selection Process 2016
Selection process will be based on online test and interview. The online test will have questions will be set on 5 different categories: Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, General Awareness, Marketing Aptitude and Computer Awareness.
It is advised that applicants take proper preparation for the written test according to the exam pattern and syllabus prescribed because the exam will be extremely competitive. To be successful in the exam, candidates will need solid preparation to be ahead than the rest.
SBI Clerk & PO Exam Admit Card/Call Letter 2016
Admit card for the written test will be issued after screening of applications submitted by the candidates. Those who will not meet the prerequisite eligibility will not be able to sit for the written exam. Hall ticket will be available on the official website of SBI and candidates will be able to download call letter from the website by using their registration number or date of birth. Details about exam date and venue will be specified in the admit card.
SBI PO & Clerk Result 2016
Result of the written test will be available on the website. Date of result publication will be notified after the written exam. The authority will prepare merit list according to mark obtained in the exam. Cut off mark of the exam will be different for various categories.
Selected applicants in the written exam will be called for personal interview and they will have to bring valid documents for the viva. Date and venue of viva will be notified to the concerned candidates through notification.
